Mobius Institute, the premier provider of vibration analysis and machine reliability training courses and products, today announced that it has won the 2012 Governor of Victoria Export Award in the category of the best small business. The Governor of Victoria Export Awards (GOVEA) is one of the most prestigious business awards in Victoria. Rewarding Victoria’s most successful and innovative exporters with the stamp of international success, a GOVEA provides businesses valuable recognition in the local and international marketplaces. Mobius Institute has won this award in 2003, 2007, 2008 and now again in 2012. This award qualifies Mobius Institute for the national Australian Export Awards held in Canberra in November.
Mobius Institute exports its accredited training courses and certification to 50 countries through its innovative global training management system. All Mobius training centers utilize the same training management system through which the material is delivered in a consistent manner that meets the requirements of International Organization for Standardization (ISO) 18436-1 and 18436-2 standards for vibration analysis training and certification. Students and certified analysts from 126 countries are tracked through this system that is managed at Mobius Institute headquarters.
Mobius Institute has been involved in the specialized field of vibration analysis since 1999, when its founder, Jason Tranter recognized that the technology was powerful but was being misused. Vibration analysis is performed in all major industries throughout the world. It is used to determine if a machine, such as an electric motor or steam turbine, has developed a fault and may fail resulting in downtime, environmental harm and personal injury. Mobius Institute seized an opportunity to create engaging, interactive training products to help people become more educated in this field. Mobius, based at Merricks North in regional Victoria, never stops developing new methods to improve training. Notable client names include NASA, BHP Billiton, Boeing, GE, Ford, Chevron, Flowserve and the navies of Australia, the US, Britain, India and South Africa.
“Everyone at Mobius Institute is very proud to be recognized by the Victorian Government as being the most successful small business exporter of its products and services. The award shows how hard we have worked to make our training available to vibration analysts all around the world, regardless of their language, economic situation or location,” says Jason Tranter, founder and managing director of the Mobius Institute. “The award not only recognizes our business practices, but also the innovation and technology that we’ve implemented to deliver our vibration analysis training products and services. This award is considered to be the most prestigious business award in Australia, and I am very pleased that Mobius Institute is recognized in this way.”
